How Gift Aid works
With Gift Aid:
Get an extra 25% on eligible donations
UK taxpayers can opt in when donating
Money comes from HMRC
Doesn't count towards your target
Provides additional funds for delivery
Setting up Gift Aid
To enable Gift Aid:
Visit the 'Delivery' section of your dashboard
Click 'Enable' under Gift Aid
Provide charity registration details
Wait for verification during project checks
Receive confirmation when approved
Collecting Gift Aid
During your campaign:
Backers see the option to Gift Aid when donating (via card payment only)
Must be UK taxpayers
Need to make Gift Aid declaration
You'll get donation details after campaign
HMRC processes claims directly
After your campaign
You'll need to:
Download your Gift Aid donor file from the Project Dashboard
Claim your Gift Aid donations online through HMRC
Wait for HMRC processing
Receive funds within 20 working days

Gift Aid donations can only be collected through donations made via card payment (not bank transfer)
