Continuous Fundraising is a Spacehive feature that allows projects to keep receiving donations even after reaching their original target. This means project creators can continue to raise funds without the need to start a new campaign, building on the relationships already established with backers.
When setting up a project, you can enable Continuous Fundraising on the 'Costs' page*. Once your initial target is met and funds are transferred, your project page will update to show that the original goal was achieved and that donations are now supporting ongoing costs.
Unlike the lump sum received at the end of the main campaign, Continuous Fundraising payments are made monthly, reflecting all donations collected during that period. You can view a breakdown of these payments in the project dashboard.
To help backers understand the need for ongoing support, we recommend posting an update once your initial campaign ends, explaining the ongoing costs and how their contributions will be used moving forward.
