What is 'Continuous Fundraising'?
Continuous Fundraising allows you to keep receiving donations after hitting your initial target. This means you can:
Keep raising funds without starting a new campaign
Build on existing backer relationships
Support your project's ongoing costs
Receive regular monthly income
How it works
Enable Continuous Fundraising by:
Selecting it on your 'Costs' page when creating your project
Emailing [email protected] if you didn't select it initially
Posting an update explaining your ongoing costs
Sharing how new donations will be used
Payment process
Unlike your main campaign:
Payments transfer monthly rather than in one lump sum
Each payment reflects that month's donations
Track all payments in your project dashboard
See a full breakdown of your supporters
For backers
Your supporters can choose to:
Make one-off donations
Set up regular monthly payments
Manage their recurring donations through their account
Cancel their support at any time
If you end Continuous Fundraising:
All future donations are automatically cancelled
Any pending donations are processed
Your project page updates to show fundraising has ended

What is 'Overfunding'?
While Continuous Fundraising is an optional choice for projects that have ongoing costs, Overfunding is a brief stage after you've reached your target which allows for more donations to come in before your campaign ends.
All campaigns have Overfunding enabled by default
When creating your project, you will be asked to list what you would spend the extra funds on
If you reach your target before your end date, Overfunding will last 7 days. After this your campaign will end
During the 7 day Overfunding stage, you can choose to stop your campaign at any point to get your funds quicker. You can do this from your Project Dashboard by clicking 'Stop Campaign'
